Among the things I’ve done in the name of employment, the few days I spent in Miami hanging out with Phoenix ranks up there. As they were preparing to launch a tour supporting their album Ti Amo, I was there to document the stage displays that Brand New School created for the group — a massive undertaking combining animation and cinemagraphs on a huge LED stage floor reflected by an overhanging mirror. This stage setup was hauled around the world, witnessed by thousands of fans from Berlin to Bali.

Not a bad way to spend a 9 to 5.
